Job Description - Assistant Financial Accountant

My client based in Letchworth is seeking a new Assistant Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and learn from experienced Finance professionals.

The role:

To assist the Head of Finance with balance sheet reconciliations
Responsibility for maintaining and updating the Fixed asset register
Completing and posting journals
Assisting with budgets and forecasting
Assisting with year end audit
Assist the Finance Business Partner with maintaining and processing journals for the monthly management accounts
Completion of company VAT return
Undertaking accounts preparation for managed organisations

The successful Candidate:

Experience of book-keeping and balance sheet reconciliations
Responsibility for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and processing entries for depreciation, additions and disposals
Experience of advanced Excel functions such as VLookup and pivot tables
Ability to work as a team member and on own initiative to plan and manage workload
Flexible approach to duties and working arrangements
Part Qualified/Studying CIMA/ACCA.
