As a newly appointed Assistant Financial Controller you'll support strategic decision making and cultural change. Leading a team of six, you'll manage daily financial operations, monthly reporting, and process improvements whilst working closely with the Financial Controller. The role also involves ensuring compliance, supporting audits, overseeing year-end procedures, and coordinating budgets and forecasts across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive cultural change and provide financial insight to support strategic decisions.
• Lead and develop a team of six, fostering motivation and high performance.
• Manage daily finance operations, monthly accounts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance, support audits, and oversee year-end processes.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, collaborating across departments.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a professional qualification (Part-qualified or Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
• Has experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's) and detail oriented.
• A proactive team player with strong communication and problem solving skills.
