Assistant Financial Controller

Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a permanent Assistant Financial Controller based close to Cumbernauld with good hybrid working paying £60,000 - £65,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

The Role

This role offers an excellent springboard for individuals with ambitions to progress to Financial Controller or Director of Finance level, supported by strong mentorship and exposure to a broad, diverse range of responsibilities. The three key components of the role include:

People Management

• Hiring, training and development of the finance team including part-qualified & transactional finance
• Deputising for the Director of Finance

Operation & Commercial

• Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs & management accounts
• Business partnering with senior and non-financial stakeholders
• Financial analysis - P&L, revenue, sales, costs
• Process & continuous improvement - processes, procedures, controls & systems

Financial Accounting

• Supporting the preparation of financial accounts
• Supporting with annual audit including liaising with External Auditors
• Balance sheet integrity & reconciliations
• Ensuring robust month & year-end

The position of Assistant Financial Controller is based close to Cumbernauld with good hybrid working. The role will also offer:
