Residential Family Assessment Centres.

As Assistant
Head of Service, you will play a key role in ensuring our Family Assessment
Centres deliver outstanding services, maintain regulatory compliance and
achieve the best possible outcomes for families.

Your Role as
Assistant Head of Service – Residential Family Assessment Centres

Reporting to the
Head of Service, you will provide operational leadership across Residential
Family Assessment Centres within an allocated region.

You will have
direct line management responsibility for Registered Managers and overall
accountability for regional service performance, including regulatory
compliance, quality assurance, safeguarding, staffing, occupancy and budget
management.

Working closely
with the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive continuous improvement, develop
high-performing teams and ensure all centres operate in line with Progressive
Care's values, policies and high standards of practice.

Key
Responsibilities

  • Provide
    leadership, support and line management to Registered Managers across the
    region.

  • Maintain
    oversight of the operational performance of all Family Assessment Centres
    within your allocated area.

  • Lead
    on regulatory compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
    activities.

  • Ensure
    safeguarding systems and practices are effective and embedded throughout
    services.

  • Monitor
    and improve service performance, quality standards and occupancy levels.

  • Oversee
    workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development.

  • Monitor
    and manage regional budgets and resources effectively.

  • Produce
    operational, quality and performance reports for the Senior Leadership
    Team.

  • Support
    continued service development, innovation and growth opportunities.

  • Participate
    in senior management on-call arrangements as required.



Requirements

Requirements

Our Ideal
Candidate Will Have

  • Significant
    leadership experience within Family Assessment Services, Children's
    Residential Care or a related social care setting.

  • Experience
    managing multiple services or provisions across a geographical region.

  • Strong
    knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and
    governance.

  • Proven
    ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

  • Experience
    of managing budgets and delivering operational performance targets.

  • Strong
    communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

  • The
    ability to analyse performance data and implement effective improvement
    plans.

  • A
    commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.

Desirable

  • Level
    5 Leadership and Management qualification (or equivalent).

  • Management
    experience within Family Assessment Services.

  • Experience
    supporting services through regulatory inspections.

  • Relevant
    professional qualification in Social Work, Health or Social Care.
