Job Description:

A well-established and highly recommended school in Berkshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Year. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and pastoral care of a specific year group, ensuring that students receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the year group, providing support and guidance to both students and staff.
• Monitor and track student progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Organize and oversee year group events, activities, and assemblies.
• Collaborate with other Heads of Year and senior leadership to ensure consistency and continuity across the school.
• Support the personal and social development of students, addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of students at different stages of their education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
