Job Description - Assistant Hotel Manager

Invercarse Hotel is a well established, locally owned hotel set within its own private gardens in the West End, with an excellent reputation in the city and beyond.
We are a busy 68 bedroom hotel, with a 100 seater restaurant, catering for hotel guests and non-residents from a strong local market, with a variety of Events Spaces.
The hotel also boasts one of the largest Ballrooms in the city and can cater for various events ranging from 10 to 320.
With decades of experience, hosting big days and even bigger nights the Invercarse Hotel is the perfect location for any occasion, be it a Wedding, a Birthday Party, Christening, Party Night, Sportman's Dinner, Charity Event or a Conference.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is currently looking for that next step in their Hospitality Career.
As Assistant Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for
the day to day running and operation of the hotel on your shift
assist the Directors in controlling budgets in relation to departmental expenses and staff rotas
maximising sales, profits and customer satisfaction
pre-event consultations with guests and following up on these with regular communications
ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner
the ability to switch between admin work and providing hands on assistance in a fast paced environment
compliance with current legislation
The ideal candidate will
have experience in a customer service role of a minimum of 3 years including time spent in a supervisory/management role
be customer focused and have excellent communication skills
have a professional appearance and work ethic and will strive for excellence
show good understanding of IT
have excellent organisational skills and can work on their own initiative
be able to prioritise workload in a fluid working environment
The Details
full time position
Competitive Salary and Bonus Scheme
40 hours per week, with occasional requirement to work extra
Shift work, 5 days from 7, including weekends.
28 days holiday entitlement
