Job Description - Assistant Hub Manager

Location: Leeds

TruckForce, Leeds have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Hub Manager.

The successful candidate will assist the hub manager by providing inspirational leadership for the team.

Our TruckForce service network is made up of Goodyear equity-owned hubs and independent service providers specializing in the lifecycle management of truck tyres. Goodyear is the largest tyre company in the world and is a brand that is looking for several tyre fitters to support them all the way through their career.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Hub Manager, you will assist the hub manager with the following:


  • Achieve hub sales, margins and targets.

  • Ensure first class service to all customers.

  • Drive the hub team of technicians focusing on customer service and sales profitability.

  • Manage and control hub running costs.

  • Manage stock control including stock taking, inter hub transfers and ordering.

  • Allocating work schedules, inspections, breakdowns and call outs to technicians.

  • Processing invoicing and queries to manage debtor control.

  • Responsibility for daily operating control of all aspects of the hub, managing operations, staff and customer service.

  • Produce reports as required.

  • Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to.

  • Cover for Hub Manager as necessary.

Skills, Education and Experience:


  • Automotive or Tyre Industry related experience is highly desirable.

  • Ability to lead a team and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Experience of dealing with external customers.

  • A level/GCSE or equivalent standard mathematics and English language (Desired).

  • Strong IT skills including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with FOS and GRIPS.

  • Able to be flexible, seek responsibility and work without supervision.

  • Strong communicator, proven problem-solving skills and have a creative thinking ability.
