Job DescriptionAssistant Legal Counsel - West Midlands / Birmingham HQ (hybrid, 3 days in the office) NQ-2 PQEInternational manufacturing organisation with a varied, high profile customer base looking to hire a commercial lawyer to join the in-house legal team. Working alongside a supportive Legal Manager and with regular stakeholder engagement, the Assistant Legal Counsel will support and advise the business on a range of commercial, legal and risk matters- Commercial contracts and agreements - procurement, sales, supply, manufacturing, distribution, NDA's etc - Risk management and compliance, Data Protection, governance, AML and training - Support on acquisitions and wider company law matters The business has a true international footprint so there is the opportunity to partner with overseas colleagues and advisers. We are ideally looking to hire a commercial lawyer at the early stages of their in-house journey, NQ-2 years PQE with some commercial contracts exposure ideally with experience in industry (either training in-house, through secondment, or as a paralegal pre-training)We are keen to hear from those qualifying Sept 2024, either in-house or practice and committed to building a commercial career in industry.Based on a business park just outside Birmingham, in the the West Midlands you will be in the office 3 days a week getting to know your colleagues, the business and building your profile, also free parking on site.Salary 45-55k DOE, Keen to move relatively quickly with some exciting projects in the mix, so 2 stage interview process (1st teams, 2nd on site) but this will not be dragged out.A business I know well, so feel free to get in touch to more about.
