Assistant Management Accountant

Your new role
Working for the Finance Manager and wider team, you will be supporting the management accounts team from assisting with budgets, forecasts and year-ends to investigating variances and looking to improve systems. For the month-end process, you will ensure the balance sheet reconciliations are completed along with; stock reconciliation, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, supporting the ledger processes and various management reporting. You will also liaise with regional managers on individual profit & loss reports highlighting any focus points and resolving queries.

What you'll need to succeed
You will already have gained a strong start to your accountancy career and have gained some exposure to the month-end routines, e.g. journals, accruals/prepayments etc. With strong IT skills, including Excel, you will offer a confident and motivated approach with a key eye for detail and to challenge the data and reporting where appropriate. It is anticipated you will be part-way through your professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA) with the ability to effectively communicate in order to collaborate with non-financial contacts and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
