Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, assisting with account reconciliations, maintaining essential documentation for audit purposes, and validating critical revenue and cost data. You will also have the opportunity to participate in process improvement discussions, contribute valuable insights during team meetings, and respond to routine finance queries from various stakeholders. Responsibilites:

• Assist with the preparation and posting of standard journals to ensure accurate financial records are maintained at all times.
• Support reconciliations of balance sheet accounts by verifying completeness and resolving discrepancies under guidance.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails, filing systems, and working papers that underpin robust financial controls.
• Contribute to the capture and validation of revenue and cost data for client accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in margin tracking activities, billing checks, and providing inputs for revenue recognition processes as required by the team.
• Help investigate discrepancies in financial data and support issue resolution efforts alongside more senior colleagues.
• Provide timely data inputs for reporting packs and internal commentary that inform business decisions across departments.
• Respond to basic finance queries from operational teams with support from management accountants or senior management accountants.
• Attend regular team meetings to build knowledge of key drivers behind financial performance within the organisation.
• Input and validate data in ERP systems and other finance tools, flagging any inconsistencies or inefficiencies encountered during daily tasks.
