Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in Coleshill. The successful candidate will support the management accounting function and contribute to the financial health and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Reconcile balance sheets and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and audits.
• Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Provide support in financial planning and analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
