Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Leyland (Hybrid Working)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35-40k

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This permanent position is based in Leyland with hybrid working and occasional travel, offering the perfect mix of hands-on finance exposure and flexibility. It's ideal for someone early in their management accounts journey who's keen to build on their experience in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

• Support the production of monthly management accounts and site-level P&Ls

• Prepare and post journals (WIP, accruals, prepayments, provisions)

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances

• Work with SAP to ensure data accuracy and integrity

• Provide insightful reporting and analysis to support commercial decisions

• Collaborate with finance, commercial, and operational teams on projects and cost control

• Manage client invoicing processes and support cash collection

• Translate complex financial data for both finance and non-finance stakeholders

• Previous experience in a similar finance role

• Studying towards a finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or degree in Finance/Maths (desirable)

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); SAP experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
