Assistant Management Accountant

ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - 35-40K - plus study support - OLDBURY

Job Summary

You will play a key role in assisting the proficient running of the Finance function. You will assist the Finance Manager in data collection and management reporting, including allocation methods and key cost driver analysis to ensure costs are captured and recharged in a timely and appropriate manner.

You will assist in the preparation of company management accounts up to trial balance stage and ensure that all month end and quarter end protocols are adhered to at all times. Invoice posting, accruals, pre-payments, VAT will all form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage allocation methods of central costs between divisions

• Accounting for accrued income and rebate support

• Raising cross company invoices and ensuring accuracy of costs, initialising cross company payments

• Ensuring SAP GL codes and Cost Centre balances are correct

• Determine appropriate cost allocations between different operating divisions

• Responsible for fixed asset audits

• Completing quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations

• Support Finance Manager in providing insightful analysis across the P&L

• Responsible for timely and accurate recording of costs

• Drive continuous improvements across finance processes

• Cover for Finance Manager when required
