Job Description - Assistant Management Accountant

The Company

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a fast growing, innovative business in South Manchester/Cheshire. Due to continued growth they require a commercially astute Assistant Management Accountant to join the team and work closely with the Finance Manager.

Salary – Up-to £35,000

Location – South Manchester

Hybrid – 4 days in 1 working from home.

Responsibilities will include:

Assist in the month end process through posting of relevant accrual and prepayment journals
Take ownership of P&L and Balance sheet nominals allocated to yourself.
Assist with production and development of financial reporting to the business stakeholders to support decision making.
Take a vested interest in adding commentary to analysis being run to identify business actions.
Assist with VAT and tax filings.
Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth..
Support a Management Account with other financial tasks in the month and at month end

Person Specification:

Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Proactive, organised individual comfortable working to set deadlines
Open and honest with good communication skills
AAT qualified or early stages ACCA/CIMA
Strong Excel skills
