Michael Page are currently recruiting for a progressive and ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join our clients finance department in Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity to support the production of timely and accurate management accounts that drives strategic business decisions.

Description

Key responsibilities of an Assistant Management Accountant will include:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts

• Support with financial reporting and variance analysis

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals

• Help produce monthly reports for internal stakeholders

• Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure timely reporting

• Assist with audit preparation and year-end processes

• Identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant will be:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA

• Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role with experience producing month end accounts

• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• A team player with good communication and time management abilities
