Assistant Management Accountant
Welwyn Garden City – Office Based

Are you a detail-driven finance professional looking to grow your career in a supportive, team-focused environment? We’re seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a national company with an office in Welwyn Garden City. You'll be a part of a small, close-knit finance team, helping to deliver accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and process improvements across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

Raise sales invoices and track overdue payments
Assist with management accounts, overhead accounts, balance sheets, reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
Produce short-term weekly cashflow forecasts and participate in cash meetings
Support cost reporting, control, and monthly consolidation
Set up new contracts in the accounts system
Carry out VAT compliance checks and other financial controls
Prepare aged debt and creditor reports, and maintain asset records
Handle ad-hoc finance requests and auditor queries

What we’re looking for:

AAT studier or looking to study a professional qualification
Experience in finance/accounting, including double entry accounting knowledge
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
