Assistant Management Accountant

Our client is a well respected privately owned and highly profitable business ideally located between Leicester and Coalville with a history of over 30+ Years of local trade.

As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Trainee / Apprentice / Assistant Management Accountant to join the business.

This position will be mentored by a great Finance Director (Also placed via FRS) and provided both on the job a professional training (Study Support Towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA) in this developmental position.

The idea of this position is to train a candidates to support the Finance Director with all aspects of Management & Financial Accounting and work towards a Finance Manager / Financial Controller position over the next 3-5 years.

- Assist Finance Director with production of monthly management accounts –

- Assist with creation of annual budget and provide Regular forecasting vs actual

- Provide Analysis, commentary on variances

- Business partner with key stakeholders across the business to help then understand the numbers and drive performance

- Assist with the management of company bank accounts, making of payments to suppliers and expenses

- Balance Sheet and Statement Reconciliations, Assist with the completion of statutory return / VAT

- Trained in the management of staff Payroll (PAYE)

- Creation of various reports to aid the business to monitor performance re Sales, Margin, Pricing

- Ad hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will be working towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA or keen to work towards qualification and ideally have some previous experience gained within an entry level finance positions (Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, General Ledger Credit Control or Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant) with a desire to build a progressive career within Finance & Accounting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key as this role will support and business partner with key stake holders across Sales, Service, Operations.

In return a basic salary of up to £35,000 (DOE) Study Support and Benefits can be offered.
