Assistant Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.


• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.


• Preparing and posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.


• Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate cash records.


• Supporting the production and submission of VAT returns.


• Maintaining fixed asset registers.


• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.


• Processing and reconciling sales and purchase ledger transactions.


• Supporting month-end close activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong understanding of month-end processes.


• Ability to work confidently to trial balance.


• Good Excel skills and experience using accounting software.


• Organised and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.


• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.


• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
