Assistant Management Accountant

A successful and growing manufacturing business is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to move beyond traditional month-end reporting and work closely with teams across the business, helping to improve financial performance and support key commercial decisions.
You'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders across operations, procurement and supply chain while developing valuable business partnering skills in a hands-on finance role.
Your new role
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in understanding business costs, analysing profitability and helping identify opportunities to improve performance.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the review and analysis of operational costs across the business
Working closely with operational teams to understand spending and improve financial accuracy
Maintaining and updating financial information within the ERP system
Assisting with profitability and margin reporting
Supporting inventory and stock reconciliations
Helping identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
Producing financial analysis and reporting for managers across the business
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc project work
Building strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and operations
What you'll need to succeed
This opportunity would suit a driven and curious finance professional who wants to develop their commercial and business partnering skills.
You'll ideally have:
Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Experience in a finance role, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, production or a similar commercial environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent Excel skills
The confidence to communicate with stakeholders across different departments
A proactive attitude and desire to learn
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
