Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a dynamic and supportive organisation to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant into their Financial Reporting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is keen to progress their career within a values-driven business. Initially on a 6 month fixed term contract, remote working available with the occasional visit to one of their regional offices.
You’ll play a key role in the month-end process, helping to produce accurate and insightful financial reporting while partnering across the organisation to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant will include:
Assisting in the production of monthly management and annual statutory accounts
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Preparing and posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
Partnering with internal stakeholders to support financial planning and reporting
Interpreting and presenting complex financial data in a clear and concise way
What we’re looking for:
AAT Level 4 qualified or currently studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA
Experience working in a finance function with exposure to management accounting
Excellent Excel skills (including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas)
Strong analytical mindset with the confidence to question and improve processes
Effective communicator who can build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
