Job Description - Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager – Luxury Alcohol Store | London

Are you a charismatic and experienced retail professional with a passion for premium wines, rare whiskies, and high-end customer experiences? A prestigious luxury alcohol store are on the hunt for a talented Assistant Manager to help lead the team.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a luxury retail brand that blends world-class customer service with a curated portfolio of fine wines, rare spirits, and collectible whiskies. You’ll work side-by-side with an experienced General Manager and be instrumental in building an iconic destination for connoisseurs and collectors alike.

Role and responsibilities:

Support the GM in leading, coaching, and growing a high-performance retail team
Deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge to a discerning clientele
Help execute a dynamic marketing calendar, including tastings and exclusive events
Collaborate on stock management, supplier relationships, and operational excellence
Drive commercial opportunities and contribute to the store’s ongoing success

Experience and expertise:

WSET Level 3 (Wine or Spirits) or equivalent industry qualification (must have)
At least 3 years of experience in premium retail or luxury hospitality (managerial)
A deep passion for fine wines, spirits, and delivering a top-tier guest experience
Strong leadership, communication, and sales skills
Previous experience in luxury hotel bars or as a sommelier is highly desirable
