This is a full-time, permanent, in-person role working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join a successful retail business in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused retail professional who enjoys working with customers, developing teams and supporting the day-to-day success of a busy store environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

Support the Store Manager with the daily running of the store
Lead, motivate and support a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers
Coach team members to improve confidence, product knowledge and performance
Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development
Assist with stock management, operational processes and compliance
Maintain high standards across the store environment
Handle customer enquiries and help resolve any issues professionally
Support the delivery of a consistent and engaging in-store experienceAbout the opportunity

The person

We are looking for someone with:

Previous experience in retail leadership, ideally within premium, luxury or high-value retail
Experience managing or supervising a team
A proven track record of achieving sales targets and commercial goals
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Confidence coaching, supporting and developing colleagues
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A professional approach with strong attention to detail
The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
