We are looking for an experienced senior retail professional to join a prestigious organisation based in the Midhurst area as an Assistant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team working on-site within one of their award-winning retail shops. You will be passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining the outstanding standards associated with a luxury brand. This is a full-time, hands-on role, with flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as required. You will be a visible presence on the shop floor, leading from the front and acting as a true brand ambassador, representing the organisation and its values while championing an outstanding service culture. Working directly within the award-winning retail environment, you will play a key role in leading and developing the shop team, ensuring consistently high standards across the customer experience, shop floor presentation and day-to-day operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and support the shop team, creating a positive and engaging working environment
* Act as a brand ambassador, representing the organisation and delivering its values through every customer interaction
* Drive an exceptional service culture and ensure consistently outstanding customer experiences
* Be hands-on and visible on the shop floor, leading by example and supporting the team where required
* Support, coach and develop team members to achieve high standards of performance and service
* Maintain excellent shop floor presentation and standards
* Oversee visual merchandising, ensuring the environment reflects the quality and luxury of the brand
* Support staff rotas and ensure appropriate team coverage
* Assist with purchasing, stock management and supplier requirements
* Support the management of costs and commercial performance
* Help ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations
* Work collaboratively with the wider management team to continuously improve service, standards and team performance
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* 3+ years' experience in a similar management position, such as Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or another senior retail leadership role
* Proven experience leading, motivating and supporting a team
* A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved across the shop floor
* A positive, proactive and agile approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Confidence and personality to engage with customers
* A genuine passion for people, retail and service
* High personal standards and pride in maintaining an exceptional environment and customer experience
