Due to continuing success in the offshore wind sector, we are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate EIA professional to join our Resilient Environments International team as part of our enthusiastic and supportive team. 

 

Our team has a proven track record of supporting consents for high profile offshore wind projects and we are now in a position to drive further growth and expansion to enable continued success in this exciting market.  We have experienced great success in recent UK leasing rounds resulting in a strong future pipeline to deliver. We are looking for people that want to play an integral role in realising these high profile, cutting edge projects. We pride ourselves in combining our industry wide major infrastructure experience, digital EIA approach and in-depth knowledge of the wind sector to deliver cost effective solutions for our clients.

You will be joining a company with:

What you will be working on

 

You will be working on a high profile offshore wind development to:

  • Support the onshore team to deliver a robust EIA, survey management, stakeholder engagement and consenting advice to support consent submission
  • Be the day to day contact for the onshore EIA team, land access team and members of the client team to maintain momentum on the programme
  • Support management of the project onshore EIA budget and programme
  • Support on key areas of your technical competence.

In addition, you will:

  • Keep up to date on industry developments and guidance and share your knowledge with your team
  • Support the development of processes and templates through lessons learned that add value and efficiencies to our projects

 






Qualifications





The successful candidate will have:

  • Varied onshore EIA, consents and licencing experience ideally in onshore linear connections and energy infrastructure in the development phase. Scottish experience is useful
  • Experience in coordinating specialist technical input to deliver carefully considered, high quality EIAs for projects including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the energy sector (or other linear sector)
  • A technical specialism would be useful
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industry
  • An established network in the offshore industry
  • Experience of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in budget management and reporting
  • Willingness to travel, including possible international travel

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent), in a relevant environmental discipline, with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
  • Postgraduate qualification in environmental science/planning (or related field of study) (Desirable)
  • Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or other professional accreditation/ registration with a recognised body (Desirable)
