Location: Sidcup
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Average 40 hours per week (start time from 7am-8am)

Premier Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing fresh produce business in Sidcup, currently looking for a motivated Assistant Packhouse Manager to support the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on role offering autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to be part of a close-knit and experienced team during both steady and peak production periods.

Key Duties

• Support the Packhouse Manager with daily operations
• Supervise and motivate production staff and agency workers
• Monitor line performance and adjust team focus to meet targets
• Uphold food hygiene, safety, and quality control standards
• Adapt staffing and resources according to workload demands
• Report on productivity, issues, and progress
• Assist in preparing for and managing seasonal peak activity

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a packhouse, warehouse, or production supervisory role
• Team leadership and organisational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving ability
• Reliable and flexible with working hours
• A hands-on, proactive approach and attention to detail

Working Hours

• Average 40 hours per week
• Start time: between 7am and 8am
• Flexible finish - early finishes on quieter days
• During busy seasons, longer shifts (up to 10+ hours) may be required
