Assistant Production Manager

Location: Herefordshire
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 + 2-bed flat available for the right candidate
Hours: 48 hrs/week in peak (summer), 39 hrs/week in off-season
Holidays: 28 days including Bank Holidays

Are you a hands-on leader with experience in farm operations? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to manage large seasonal teams? We're looking for a Assistant production manager to join our dynamic operation at the peak of our soft fruit season.

• Oversee and monitor soft fruit production with a focus on quality and efficiency

• Manage and support multiple staff teams, including 200+ seasonal pickers

• Train and induct new starters to ensure smooth integration

• Maintain strict health & safety standards and reporting

• Plan labour schedules and daily workforce allocation

• Act as a key communication point for logistics and operations

• Conduct regular quality control inspections across all harvest areas

• Full clean driving licence (essential)

• Proven experience managing multiple teams in a farm, soft fruit

• Knowledge of soft fruit harvest or growing operations

• Strong leadership and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently, especially during peak season

• Russian or Bulgarian language skills (advantageous but not essential)

• £32,000 - £35,000 salary depending on experience

• 2-bed accommodation on-site

• 3%/5% pension contributions

• Sunday off every week during peak season + 1 additional day off midweek

• Structured training during off-season and clear progression pathway
