We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. Want to be a part of it? What will you be doing? The Assistant Project Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical and civil design of wastewater network solutions e.g. - design of new pumping systems, equipment and pipeline sizing & arranging. You'll prepare and analyse key design options, for review and agreement with the Project Manager and the client. Ensuring risks and gaps are mitigated whilst always upholding the Project Basis of Design. Design calculations facilitating the sizing of mechanical, hydraulic, and building services equipment. Take the project through preconstruction activities and supporting the construction team with design support services. What you'll bring Minimum of HNC / HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or able demonstrate a suitable level of experience. Minimum of 2 yrs experience within an engineering role. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as MS office suite and relevant engineering design software packages. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve engineering issues. Hold a full driving licence What’s in it for you?
