Our client is a rapidly growing construction and infrastructure business delivering major projects across the South West and Wales. Due to continued expansion and the award of a significant flagship project in Cardiff, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quality Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile development and gain valuable experience within a fast-paced project environment, supporting the delivery of exceptional quality standards from start to finish.
The Role
Working closely with the Quality Manager and wider project team, you will assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of the project's Quality Management System. Carry out quality inspections and audits across site operations. Review and maintain quality documentation and records. Assist with the management of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Monitor compliance with project specifications and procedures. Support the investigation and close-out of non-conformances. Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders on quality matters. Produce quality reports and assist with project handovers. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Requirements
Previous experience within a quality, engineering, construction or site-based role. Understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles. Strong communication and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to build positive working relationships across project teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. Internal Auditor qualification. Relevant construction, engineering or quality-related qualification.
