Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Zenith People are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work at its Client site in Northumberland. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the company in managing project costs from inception through to completion. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work closely with experienced professionals, and progress your career in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets,
• Monitor project expenditures and assist in cost control
• Support the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather data and assess work progress
• Assist in managing variations and change orders
• Help ensure compliance with contractual and financial procedures
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate project documentation

About You

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• 1-2 years' experience in a similar role (internships and placements considered)
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with cost management software is a plus
• A team player with a proactive attitude and keen eye for detail
