Blaymires Recruitment represents a leading Property and Construction consultancy based near Fareham, who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The consultancy is steadily growing and undertakes projectsacross the education, healthcare, heritage, residential, and commercial sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a diverse portfolio.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, gaining exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties across exciting construction projects. This is a client-facing role offering real responsibility, support, and a clear route to Chartership.

Responsibilities:

• Support with cost planning, tendering, and contract administration
• Prepare BOQs, estimates, interim valuations, and final accounts
• Assist with procurement, change control, and commercial reporting
• Attend client and site meetings to support project delivery
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success

About You:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (or working towards)
• 1-3 years of experience in a QS role, ideally within a consultancy or main contractor
• Familiar with JCT/NEC contracts and cost management tools
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Keen to work towards MRICS (support provided)
