Russell Taylor are working with a well-established, family-owned main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across London and the surrounding areas. Due to continued success, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop within a growing company.

The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be work alongside experienced Surveyors across the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to delivery on a range of schemes valued between £1m£20m. Sectors include education, commercial, heritage, residential and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control across live and upcoming projects

• Support with subcontractor procurement, measurement and account management

• Attend and contribute to CVR meetings and commercial reporting

• Ensure compliance with contracts, pricing and specifications

• Undertake site visits and valuation work

Ideal Candidate

• HNC or higher in Quantity Surveying (or similar)

• Strong communication, numeracy and IT skills (Excel/Word)

• Eager to learn, take direction and grow professionally

• Commercially aware with great attention to detail

• Located within 45 minutes of East London
