Job DescriptionPeople Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Commercial Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.Position: Assistant Commercial Manager / Assistant Quantity Surveyor - NEC 4Rate: £240 (Indicative Outside IR35)Location: Birmingham Start date: ASAPContract Duration: March 2025Working Arrangements: Hybrid 3 days office/Site & 2 days homeEveryday responsibilities will include:Assist in preparing subcontract enquiries/quotation comparisons and subcontract documents.Participate in the recording of and payment for subcontract work, including the processing of subcontract payments.Assist in cost monitoring of site resources and undertake costing activities.Assist in the valuation of changes to work scope.Measure completed works for interim and final accounts.To be suitable for this role, you will need:Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/D)Good communication and IT skills.Experience working Client side, Preferably Network Rail or Train Operating CompanyNEC 3/4 contract experiences favourableThey need a proactive individual that will challenge the programme / support CE challenges.
