East Midlands | Nottingham / Leicester / Peterborough | £35,000 – £45,000 + Package

PRIORITY VACANCY

We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a major construction and regeneration business with a substantial pipeline of social housing, planned works and retrofit projects.

This position will cover the eastern side of the Midlands region, broadly encompassing Mansfield down towards Milton Keynes and Burton across to Peterborough.

The role can be based within commuting distance of offices in Nottinghamshire, Leicester or Peterborough, depending on your location.

You'll work across social housing improvement, planned maintenance and retrofit programmes, supporting experienced commercial professionals while gradually taking greater responsibility for your own projects and work packages.

Rather than sitting behind a desk processing numbers, you'll be encouraged to understand the projects, build relationships with operational teams and subcontractors and develop into a rounded Quantity Surveyor.

What Will You Be Doing?

You'll support the commercial management of projects across the region, including:

Subcontractor procurement

Preparing enquiries and analysing quotations

*

Applications and valuations

*

Subcontractor payments

*

Cost reporting and forecasting

*

Managing variations

*

Monitoring project expenditure

*

Site measurement

*

Commercial administration

*

Supporting monthly reporting

*

Attending project and commercial meetings

*

Assisting with final accounts

As your experience develops, you'll be given increasing commercial responsibility.

Who Are We Looking For?

Ideally, you will already have some Quantity Surveying experience within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked on:

Social Housing | Planned Works | Retrofit | Refurbishment | Decarbonisation | Energy Efficiency | High-Rise Retrofit

High-rise retrofit experience would be an added bonus, but it isn't essential.

You'll ideally be studying towards or already hold an HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.

Most importantly, we're looking for somebody ambitious who wants to progress.

Salary & Package

£35,000 – £45,000 + package, dependent upon experience.

With offices across the region and projects covering a substantial geographical area, there is flexibility around where the successful candidate is based.
