Assistant Syndicate Accountant

HFG has partnered with an award winning Lloyd's managing agent, in their search for an Assistant Syndicate Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in syndicate accounting, reporting in to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accounting for the Syndicate

• Prepare and review journals

• Review Syndicate bank reconciliations

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with month-end close

• Support preparation of statutory financial statements

• Assist with Quarterly and Annual Lloyd's returns

• Liaise with external auditors

Requirements:

• Part-qualified or currently studying/willing to study for accounting exams

• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Insurance accounting experience preferred
