Assistant Systems Accountant (12-Month FTC) - Liverpool / Hybrid

Are you passionate about finance systems, process improvement, and using data to drive better decision-making? We're working with a leading organisation based in Liverpool who are looking for an Assistant Systems Accountant to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong systems knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset to play a key role in shaping how financial data is managed and used across the Group.

• Supporting the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to ensure efficient and consistent data management.

• Assisting in the creation of financial reports that drive data-led decisions.

• Helping embed system controls and ensuring appropriate access permissions.

• Working with departments across the business to improve understanding and use of financial systems.

• Supporting training efforts and maintaining up-to-date documentation for financial processes.

• Identifying and driving opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.

• Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.

• Providing sound financial information and advice to internal and external stakeholders.

• Supporting a culture of automation and self-service across finance functions.

• Accountancy qualification (e.g., part-qualified, AAT, or equivalent).

• A commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.

• Proven experience supporting process and system improvements within finance.

• Solid understanding of financial processes and controls.

• Strong focus on customer service and delivering value for money.

• High IT literacy and openness to new, innovative ways of working.
