A well-established planning consultancy based in Bedford is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Planner to join their growing team. The company delivers expert planning services across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and rural development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
• Undertake planning research and policy reviews
• Liaise with clients, local planning authorities, and other stakeholders
• Conduct site visits and assist in preparing reports
• Support senior planners in delivering projects on time and to a high standard
• Keep up to date with changes in planning legislation and policy

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A genuine interest in planning and the built environment
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
