Assistant Town Planner - Galway
Location: Galway City | Full-Time | Minimum 1 Year Experience Required

A well-established and respected planning and environmental consultancy based in Galway City is seeking a motivated and articulate Assistant Town Planner to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified planner with some practical experience to work across a wide range of planning and development projects throughout Ireland.

The successful candidate will be involved in projects ranging from single residential units to large-scale mixed-use and commercial developments, working alongside experienced planning and environmental professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of planning applications and planning appeals

• Produce high-quality reports, planning statements, and supporting documentation

• Undertake planning research and site appraisals

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the planning process

• Support the team in providing tailored planning advice to a diverse client base

Requirements:

• RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a closely related field

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a planning role (public or private sector)

• Strong report writing skills and a keen eye for detail

• Confident, articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

• A proactive approach and willingness to learn from a supportive team environment
