Location: Selby
Package: £35,000 - £38,000 (Monday - Friday)

We're recruiting for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day running of a fast-paced retail distribution centre in Selby. The business is growing, customer demand is high, and operations are scaling-so this role is key to keeping things moving efficiently and effectively.

You'll work closely with the Warehouse Manager to lead the team, maintain high standards, and make sure orders get out on time, every time. If you're hands-on, operationally sharp, and thrive in a busy environment, this could be the next step for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations across goods-in, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Motivate, lead, and support warehouse staff to meet performance targets
• Monitor stock accuracy and support regular inventory checks
• Ensure health & safety standards are upheld across the warehouse
• Help implement new systems, processes, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Act as a key point of contact for operational queries and shift leadership when required

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Logistics distribution and supply chain leadership role (Ideally at an Assistant Warehouse Manager level)
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations within retail or e-commerce
• Confident managing people, solving problems, and working at pace
• Comfortable with systems, stock movement, and KPI reporting
• A proactive, solution-led mindset with a focus on delivery and improvement
