Are you an ambitious and experienced planner looking to take the next step in your career? A highly regarded planning consultancy with a strong presence across the UK is seeking an Associate Planner to join its Exeter office.

This is an exciting growth opportunity within a small, dynamic team that currently includes a Partner, Senior Associate and Principal. The new Associate Planner will help bridge the gap to Principal level and play a key role in supporting the team’s continued success.

You’ll be part of a practice known for delivering clear, realistic planning advice with a personalised service, working across a wide range of development sectors and project types. The firm’s approach combines technical excellence with strategic insight to add value for clients and secure positive planning outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage planning projects from inception to completion.
  

• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals and representations.
  

• Assist in developing and implementing business development initiatives to grow the practice.
  

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  

• Provide strategic planning advice underpinned by strong knowledge of policy and best practice.
  

• Mentor and support junior team members.

• A qualified planner with relevant experience post -Senior Associate level.
  

• Strong technical and analytical planning skills.
  

• Excellent communicator with proven client -facing experience.
  

• Commercially minded, confident in supporting business development activity.
