Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Maintain general ledger accuracy, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
Assist in monthâend and yearâend close processes.

Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and payment runs.
Maintain AP/AR aging schedules and follow up on outstanding balances.

Identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
Support internal control improvements and documentation.
Assist with VAT returns, CIS filings, PAYE reconciliations, and statutory submissions.
Prepare supporting schedules for corporate tax filings.
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and filing deadlines.
Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
Maintain organised documentation for internal and external audit readiness.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and financial summaries.
Provide analytical insights to support decisionâmaking.
Work with cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Sage).
Support automation initiatives, workflow optimisation, and data integrity improvements.
Contribute to the development of scalable accounting processes for crossâborder operations.
Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Partâqualified or actively pursuing ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA (preferred).
Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and HMRC compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books).
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, modelling).
Experience with multiâcurrency accounting is an advantage.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problemâsolving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastâpaced environment.
Integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgement.
1â3 years of accounting experience (practice or industry).
Experience working with SMEs, startups, or crossâborder clients.
Exposure to FP&A, audit, or tax preparation is a plus.
Salary Range (UK â Associate Accountant)
London: £32,000 â £42,000 per year
UK Regions: £26,000 â £36,000 per year
Contract/Associate: £18 â £28 per hour
Performance Bonuses
Annual performance bonus: up to 8â12%
Professional development bonus: £500 â £1,000 (ACCA/ACA/CIMA exams, CPD, certifications)
