Job Description - Associate Dentist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist 4 days a week to join our client's reputable dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, ensuring high standards of treatment and patient satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive team environment, utilising advanced dental technology and techniques.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments of patients' oral health.
  • Diagnose dental conditions using clinical evaluation and medical imaging tools.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for restorative work such as crowns and bridges.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth practice operations and exceptional patient care.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a practising Dentist with a valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for restorative dentistry is highly desirable.
  • Experience in interpreting medical imaging such as X-rays and digital scans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively.
  • Prior experience working within a busy dental practice is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
