Associate Director – Dilapidations

Location: Nottingham
Salary: £80,000 package 

An established building consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Director specialising in Dilapidations to join its Nottingham team. This is a senior role for a commercially minded Building Surveyor with a strong track record in commercial dilapidations, looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You will lead a range of dilapidations instructions for a high-profile client base, providing both technical and commercial advice.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and negotiating Schedules of Dilapidations.
Advising landlords and tenants on lease-end liabilities.
Undertaking building inspections and producing detailed reports.
Managing dilapidations instructions from inception through to completion.
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Mentoring junior and intermediate surveyors.
Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.

The Client Base

You will work with a diverse portfolio of nationally recognised organisations, including clients such as puregym, vision express and higher education/universities, as well as wider commercial property portfolios.

About You
Strong commercial dilapidations experience.
Chartered Building Surveyor, ideally MRICS.
Excellent technical and negotiation skills.
Strong client management and communication abilities.
Commercially aware with an interest in business development.
Experience supporting or mentoring junior surveyors.
