Job Description - Associate Director Cambridge

Cambridge Leadership – Strategic Growth, BD & Team

£65,000+

A rare opportunity has become available with one of the
region’s most highly regarded planning consultancies for an MRTPI Associate
Director to join its Cambridge team.

Operating in one of the UK’s most competitive development
markets, this consultancy advises on strategic residential projects alongside
science park expansion, innovation -led mixed -use schemes and complex employment
development. The Associate Director will play a key role in strengthening
market presence, expanding client relationships and developing a
high -performing team.

The Role

This is a senior appointment requiring technical
credibility, commercial leadership and strong client influence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading
    complex residential and mixed -use planning strategies
  • Acting
    as senior advisor to key developer, investor and landowner clients
  • Driving
    business development and winning new instructions
  • Managing
    and mentoring a growing team of planners
  • Supporting
    recruitment and long -term team growth strategy
  • Financial
    oversight of projects, ensuring profitability and resource efficiency
  • Leading
    Local Plan promotion strategies and examination work
  • Managing
    appeal submissions and inquiry preparation
  • Supporting
    Directors with strategic market positioning across Cambridge

This is a role for someone who wants to be a visible leader
in a thriving planning market.

About You

  • MRTPI
    qualified (essential)
  • Proven
    track record delivering major planning projects
  • Strong
    staff management and mentoring experience
  • Demonstrable
    business development capability
  • Strong
    commercial acumen and fee management experience
  • Established
    Cambridge / East Anglia network
