We are supporting a client in their search for an experienced professional to join their team in Cambridge as an Associate Director (Electrical). This senior -level opportunity is ideal for a professional who brings strong technical capability, commercial insight, and proven experience in leading clients and delivering complex building projects.
You will lead the delivery of high -profile projects across sectors such as science & research, healthcare, and other technically demanding environments. The position offers significant autonomy and influence, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and direction of the office.
Take ownership of large, multi -disciplinary projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients
Support business development efforts, including bid preparation and securing new work
Provide leadership within the electrical engineering discipline, ensuring high technical standards are maintained
Manage project financials, including profitability, performance tracking, and resource allocation
Represent the business in senior -level client engagements and industry forums
Build, lead, and inspire a high -performing engineering team
Mentor team members and contribute to long -term succession planning
Report on project pipeline, resource utilisation, and financial performance to senior leadership
Chartered Engineer with substantial experience at Principal level or above
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams
Strong commercial understanding with experience managing complex project portfolios
Calm and solutions -driven approach when handling challenges
In -depth knowledge of electrical engineering, with awareness of related disciplines
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and drive business growth
