Investing heavily to become carbon neutral by 2030.We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join the sustainability team, playing a pivotal role within the energy unit. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative clients on ground breaking projects in energy transition. The successful candidate will work within the Masterplanning and Sustainability team, contributing to the development and implementation of net zero strategies.As a key member of the leadership team, you will influence business strategy, oversee impactful project delivery, and mentor the growth of the team.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support projects such as:Developing energy and sustainability strategies for new and regeneration projectsCreating decarbonisation strategies for existing assets and estatesConducting feasibility studies for neighbourhood and district energy strategiesDesigning heat networks and microgridsDeveloping business cases, delivery models, and planning applicationsEngaging in research and policy developmentDeliver projects for both private and public sector clients, across various scales from regional strategies to individual buildings.Additional responsibilities include:Enhancing leadership and expertise within the organisationBuilding and maintaining relationships with clients and collaboratorsSupporting strategic business development and leading new work proposalsInnovating and improving methods of delivering value to clientsManaging project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes within budget and timelinesProfessional Qualifications and Core Knowledge:BEng/BSc in Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical EngineeringChartered Engineer with a relevant bodyProven experience in leading energy and carbon strategy design and deliveryStrong technical expertise in energy systems with a broad interest in sustainable developmentProficiency in energy modelling, whole life carbon modelling, feasibility design, and project leadershipFor a full job description, please reach out to
