Job Description - Associate director environmental consultant

Spencer Ogden is partnered with with a global leader in Environmental services, who's focus is to tackle climate change through green urbanization.

We are actively seeking a leading environmental coordinator, Associate Director Environmental Consultant, to join the Glasgow office and lead the environmental sustainability unit across the Scottish region.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual with hands on experience in leading Environmental Impact Assessments within infrastructure projects, experienced in fostering client relationships, exploring new business ideas and mentoring younger colleagues.

Responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee environmental projects within multidisciplinary teams, including EIAs and environmental management initiatives.

Provide leadership to a team of environmental professionals, ensuring adherence to high standards of environmental performance and influencing project development for optimal outcomes.

Compile and refine data from various sources to produce clear, concise reports, while also managing personal workload and reviewing colleagues' work efficiently.

Effectively manage client relationships, contribute to bid preparation, and explore new business opportunities.

Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as required by relevant professional institutes.

Requirements: Degree in environmental science or a related field; Chartership is mandatory.

Extensive post-graduate experience, preferably in a consultancy setting, with a focus on major infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in EIA processes and a broad range of environmental technical expertise.

Demonstrated leadership within multidisciplinary teams, strong communication skills, and the ability to ensure quality in reports and presentations.

Capacity to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and effectively communicate ideas, with flexibility to adapt to new challenges and work environments.
