Job Description - Associate Director FX EM Institutional Sales
We are currently hiring and Associate Director FX and EM Institutional Sales
Institutional FX & EM Rates Sales is responsible for identifying sales opportunities that address specific needs for HSBC clients, managing these from identification to point of sale. The person in this role is responsible for coverage of global institutional clients with a focus on banks and wealth.
Principal Accountabilities:
Impact on the Business / Function
Identification of new leads in Institutional FX & EM Rates, and responsibility of developing and expand existing client relationships
Management of transaction flow from order through to execution in conjunction with the relevant trading team
Develop knowledge of client needs and requirements to ensure successful presentation of HSBC’s global and diverse offering through daily interaction with clients
Identify cross-selling opportunities for HSBC across the Markets & Securities Services (MSS) business
Proactive participation with other salespersons, traders, structuring, research and other key stakeholders within FX & EM Rates and the wider Global Markets business
Deliver above hurdle rate returns from the customer relationships managed
Customers / Stakeholders
External & Internal Clients: Network, develop and nurture client relationships
Internal Collaboration: Develop close and effective working relationships within both the European and Global FX & EM Rates Business and MSS
Work seamlessly with the Banking Relationship Managers to provide relevant market and product information to deepen the wider client relationship with HSBC
Deliver fair outcomes for HSBC’s customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
Qualifications
Experience in an FX and/or EM Rates Institutional Sales role, with a deep understanding of financial markets.
Experience covering Banks and systematic model based hedge funds with an FX focus
Derivative product knowledge encompassing vanilla, first generation, and more complex exotic FX options.
Strong Institutional client relationships, ideally in the Bank, Central Bank or Wealth / Private Bank space. Relationships with asset managers and hedge funds are also desirable.
eFX experience and interest, with an analytical focus to interpret and manipulate data. Modelling / programming expertise desirable to unlock the value of our data.
Previous exposure to cross asset sales highly beneficial
