Associate Director - Geotechnics

We are seeking a self-motivated geotechnics associate director to join our busy London studio, taking technical and financial responsibility for multiple projects, managing a team of technical people and participating in senior management team activities.

Whitby Wood works on a wide range of project typologies and scales, on projects in the UK and internationally. We are looking for proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as contribute and work well as part of a team.

The ideal candidate digits and skills …
— 10+ years’ experience, and a degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline
— Chartered with ICE, GSL or IOM3
— An excellent understanding of ground engineering and knowledge of current market conditions, and a portfolio of completed projects
— Excellent verbal and written communication skills
— Analytical skills, the ability to solve practical problems and a willingness to use initiative and lead by example
— Self-motivation and ability to manage a team of technical people
