The Opportunity: We're seeking a talented Associate Director to join our Project Management team and play a pivotal role in expanding our market share within the commercial real estate development sector.

With full backing from the Walker Sime Senior Leadership Team, you'll have all the support you need to develop and grow a team within this sector.

Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Take ownership of commercial residential development projects, collaborating with the Development team and Joint Venture (JV) partners to ensure successful project delivery, adherence to timelines, and achievement of financial objectives.

Town Centre Master Planning: Contribute to the master planning process, working alongside stakeholders to create visionary town centre developments that blend residential, commercial, and community spaces harmoniously.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the third-party liaison, building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and community representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively resolve challenges to ensure successful project completion.

Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that our developments meet the highest standards of excellence, aligning with company values and industry best practices.

Team Management: Lead and motivate project management team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.

Support and mentorship of colleagues.

Engender a team spirit! Business Development: Lead and strengthen WS sector experience.

Develop strong relationships with key clients, existing as well as new target clients.

Operational Support: Integral part of the Project Management structure.

Support colleagues in the management and control of service line finances, resource planning, and Business Management activities.

Understanding the Business KPIs and ability to cascade key metrics into the wider team.

Community Engagement: Collaborate with local communities to understand their needs and aspirations, incorporate their feedback into project plans, and ensure that our developments enhance the quality of life in the surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in successfully managing and delivering complex commercial residential development projects within a construction consultancy.

Strong knowledge of town centre master planning and the ability to integrate residential, commercial, and community spaces seamlessly.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower others to achieve project goals.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.

Sound commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of the real estate development industry and market dynamics.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

A results-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes and exceeding client expectations.

Preferred: Chartered status MRICS, MAPM, or MCIOB.

Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, financial, and numeracy skills.

Sound ICT skills, with high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
