Associate Director - Tax Advisory

A leading firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield is recruiting for an Associate Director – Tax Advisory to join their senior team. This is a strategic hire aimed at strengthening the firm’s advisory capability across both personal and corporate tax.

This role will suit an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager ready to take the next step, with a strong grounding in tax advisory work and the ability to manage complex client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading tax advisory projects across a range of areas including business structuring, succession planning, share schemes, IHT planning, EIS, R&D and transactional support.
• Working closely with the tax partners on the delivery of high-level advisory work.
• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, managing relationships and identifying opportunities.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Contributing to business development and wider firm growth initiatives.

Candidate profile:

• ACA and/or CTA qualified.
• Technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax – a bias to one or the other could also work.
• Track record of delivering tax advisory work to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals.
• Skilled at building and managing long-term client relationships.

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
